Diana is an economist, with post - graduate qualifications in environmental studies. She is the Principal of Diana Gibbs and Partners, a strategic planning and economic analysis consulting group established in 1991.
Diana works with major resource industries internationally, and also specialises in regional economic development planning. She has worked with regions such as the Riverina, Orana, and Greater Western Sydney in NSW (as well as communities such as Leeton, Cooma, Bombala, Glen Innes, and Cootamundra), and also Sunraysia in Victoria.
In 2000, she was awarded the RIRDC NSW Rural Women’s' Award. From Nov 2011 to Feb 2016, Diana was a Member of the Murray Darling Basin Authority. She is currently Chair of the RDA - Riverina Committee, a member of the Graham Centre Industry Advisory Committee, and also sits on the NSW Climate Change Council. She is also Executive Director of Riverina Wool growers P/L, a grower - owned company manufacturing pure wool fashion accessories. Diana previously chaired the NSW Regional Communities Consultative Council for seven years, and has also served on various State and Federal inquiries. Diana has recently relocated from a sheep/grain property at Junee Reefs to a cattle property near Wagga Wagga with her family.
