Economic Development Australia (EDA) is proud to offer the Indigenous Economic Development Professional Scholarship; an opportunity designed to support and empower First Nations professionals working in economic development across Australia.
This scholarship is part of EDA’s commitment to building a more inclusive and representative sector by supporting the professional growth of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are making a difference in their communities.

Successful applicants of the scholarship will receive:
Full registration to attend the National Economic Development Conference (NEDC25) in Newcastle (Mulubinba)
Return Flights to the conference
Accommodation for the duration of the event
EDA membership (if not already a member)
Held from October 28-30, 2025, NEDC25 in Australia’s premier event for economic development professionals. This year’s conference will explore the major forces shaping our economy and provide practical strategies to build resilient, sustainable, and inclusive communities.
