RDA Riverina is very excited to announce we have arranged for Dr Scott Sleap to visit Griffith and talk about the SISP Program ( STEM, Industry School Partnerships) from the Department of Education perspective.

 Dr Sleap is the lead on the SISP Program connecting Industry to Education and has driven the program with the support of the NSW Gov. Department of Ed. The Riverina is one of 5 regions that has been selected for the program for 2019.  We launched in February this year and are currently working with Murrumbidgee Regional High School and the feeder primary schools with plans for expansion.

 Dr Sleap will be able to discuss how this program has proven successful in creating a link between STEM Careers and Curriculum for students, which provides them with the opportunity to apply what they learn in school to the real world.

 This program runs complimentary to Grow Our Own, as many opportunities available through STEM can be supported by our Focus Activities.
