WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PLAN

RDA Riverina’s workforce development plan consists of:

Economic Development and Business Growth: working with business where we can to make a difference. We also offer services through our Riverina Regional Profile, Economic Impact Analysis, Investment Profile and grants assistance.

  1. Skilled Migration: RDA Riverina is a Regional Certifying Body for the Employer Nominated Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (Subclass 494) visa.

  2. The Welcome Experience: The Welcome Experience is a NSW Government Department of Regional NSW initiative designed to facilitate, attract, prepare and welcome key frontline public service workers to regional NSW.

  3. Country Change: Encouraging people to move to the Riverina and Murray for work, education and recreation.

  4. Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA): The DAMA is a labour agreement between the Federal Government and Regional Development Australia. The DAMA has been negotiated to provide employers a specific tool to sponsor skilled overseas workers in specified industries in our region that are currently experiencing critical skill and labour shortages.

  5. Grow Our Own: Encouraging young people to find career pathways and education whilst staying in the Riverina.

  6. Jobs Riverina Murray: Jobs Riverina Murray is a free resource for employers and job seekers in the Riverina and Murray region. Visit the Jobs Riverina Murray page at www.jobsriverinamurray.com.au or read the media release.
