Business NSW | Grants to hold an event during NSW Small Business Month

The NSW Government is offering grants of up to $2,500 for local councils and up to $3,500 for business chambers, industry associations and not-for-profits to deliver events during NSW Small Business Month that directly benefit and support the small business community.

Grants can be used to help host activities for business communities across the state between 1 to 31 March 2022.

Applicants must design and produce an activity that supports small businesses in their local area which aligns to our 2022 theme ‘Rebuild, Recharge, Renew’. Some suggested categories of activities include:

  • Focusing on your Customers

  • Working with Digital Technology

  • Leading your Team

  • Managing Money

  • Branding and Marketing

  • Growing your Business

  • Upskilling your Staff

  • Creating New Products and Services

  • Recruiting the Right Staff

  • Maintaining Mentally Healthy Workplaces, and

  • Building your Supply Chain.

Grant applicants will be assessed against selection criteria and successful applicants will represent a spread of activity types and locations across NSW.

Hosting an event is a great way to help small businesses reset and recharge, and share new and better ways of doing business in a changed world.

From webinars to pitchfests, seminars to networking nights, you can host your own activity in a way that suits your small business community. Take a look at our highlights from 20182019 and 2020 to gain some inspiration.
