The NSW Government announced that $4.1 million will be available through the Tourism Product Development Fund in 2021/22.
$1.6 million is available under the Refresh and Renew Fund – Now Open
The Fund offers a grant of $30,000, with a $15,000 co-contribution from the applicant, to assist accommodation providers improve their facilities and accommodation to better meet consumer expectations. The minimum eligible project budget is $45,000.
$2.5 million is available through the Experience Development Fund – Now Open
The Fund offers grants of between $80,000 and $150,000 in matched dollar-for-dollar funding to support projects that will create a new tourism attraction or experience that aligns with the Visitor Economy Strategy 2030.
Refresh and Renew Fund
This fund is available to businesses based in regional NSW that operate a medium size accommodation property i.e. more than 10 rooms and less than 100 rooms. Grants are intended to assist the accommodation provider improve their facilities and accommodation to better meet consumer expectations with particular emphasis on addressing issues that have been identified by consumers through their feedback.
Applications for the Refresh and Renew Fund close on 7 December 2021 at midnight Sydney Time.
