Regional Job Creation Fund

The NSW Government’s Regional Job Creation Fund was launched to support businesses in regional NSW to generate more income opportunities and create more employment. The first round resulted in a host of successfully co-funded projects being rolled out across regional NSW, from manufacturing in Narromine to distilling in Murrurundi.

Round Two of the Regional Job Creation Fund has been launched with a further $40 million in co-funding available. This is an important investment to continue building our robust economy, giving businesses, employees, and their families confidence in the future growth of regional NSW.

The Regional Job Creation Fund Round Two aims to create 2,000 new jobs in regional NSW over the next three years. The grants can fund projects in a range of areas, from replacing equipment and technology upgrades, to developing new product lines.

Examples of eligible projects include:

·         Replacing, upgrading or adapting existing plant and equipment

·         Technology or energy efficiency upgrades

·         Creating new or additional production lines

·         Relocating current offshore activity to regional NSW

·         Developing new iconic tourism experiences and visitor attractions
