NBN Co announces upgrades for the remaining homes and businesses on Fibre to the Node
NBN Co has announced a significant investment to upgrade the remaining homes and businesses on the Fibre to the Node (FTTN) network across Australia. This initiative, supported by an equity investment of up to $3 billion from the Australian Government and an additional $800 million from NBN Co, aims to enhance broadband services for around 622,000 premises.
Key Highlights:
More than 95% of the affected homes and businesses will have the option to upgrade to nbn® full fibre via Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), offering faster and more reliable internet.
The program positively impacts our region, providing an upgrade path for the remaining areas across Riverina region that are served by FTTN and not already in the Fibre Upgrade program. This includes significant parts of the major towns that were not currently in any planning phase for conversion from FTTN to Full Fibre
