Rural Financial Counselling Service

Rural Financial Counsellors provide a free, impartial & confidential service, working closely with eligible clients (eligible clients include farmers, fishing enterprises, forestry growers and harvesters, and small related businesses who are suffering, or at imminent risk of suffering financial hardship) to assist them to resolve urgent issues and develop a plan for their future and that of their families and their enterprise.

 
 

Training Assistance

Subsidised Skills Training - Training Services NSW

The NSW Government is subsidising skills training for farmers and regional businesses impacted by the drought to support off farm income and diversification of business practices. 

Access to this funding aims to provide support to farmers and businesses to manage the impact of the drought.

Mental Health

Rural Resilience Program

The Rural Resilience team work with primary producers across regional and remote NSW to build personal and family resilience, which is an essential tool to withstand the challenges of rural life and farm based businesses.

Rural Adversity Mental Health Program

RAMHP has 19 Coordinators based across regional, rural and remote NSW who inform, educate and connect individuals, communities and workplaces with appropriate services and programs.

Farming Community Counselling Service

The Farming Community Counselling Service is to provide 1:1 professional support and/or counselling to farmers, their families and the wider agricultural community including people who work in agriculture and rural communities impacted by the drought.

The NSW Rural Assistance Authority (RAA) has decades of experience and expertise in the assessment and administration of financial assistance schemes to primary producers and small business operators in NSW on behalf of both the NSW and Australian Governments.

Tackling Tough Times Together

The Tackling Tough Times Together grant program helps communities access the resources they need to support one another through the ongoing effects of the drought.

Grants are available for a broad range of grassroots, community-led initiatives that directly and clearly benefit local communities. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and assessed quarterly.
