Planning for Winter Workshop | Optimising Pasture Production for Livestock

In partnership with Regional Development Australia Riverina and funded by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal, Riverina Local Land Services will host the workshops which will provide landholders with information to support their recovery journey including:

• local pasture species selection

• pasture establishment and management

• optimising livestock productivity from pasture

• strengthening ongoing producers welfare and resilience.

Learn more about pasture selection, pasture improvement, grazing management, and health & wellbeing. Workshops will include presentations plus on farm paddock walks with leading professionals:

• Nathan Ferguson, Graminus Consulting Pty Ltd. Pasture species selection – what

suits best.

• Richard Hayes, NSW DPIE. Pasture establishment and management – best practices.

• Basil Doonan, Pinion Advisory. Optimising pasture production with livestock

production.

• Geoff Minchin, RLLS. Farming Forecaster, dynamic data to optimise on-farm decision

making.

• John Harper, Rural Outreach Counselling. ROC and Mate-keeper Program.

Also, in attendance will be Jessica Keemink from Rural Financial Counselling Services and Andrew Rae, Community Recovery Officer with Snowy Valley Council to provide any additional information required on welfare, resilience or financial support.

Attendance for each event is FREE and includes tea, coffee and lunch. Places are limited at each event and registrations via Eventbrite are essential. RSVP closes 6:00pm Sunday 6 June 2021.
