Are you 18-26 and considering a career in agriculture, have just started employment or know someone who is?

RFCS NSW are hosting a free two-part ‘Seeding Success’ financial skills course where you will learn how you can set yourself up to gain the most from your employment by understanding personal finances as well as future business finance opportunities.

Our workshop consists of two sessions:

  • A face-to-face workshop on Personal Finances. Youth Law Australia will be providing knowledge of how to interpret your payslip, comprehend employment terms and conditions, awards and contractual agreements and understand the pros and cons of using recruitment agencies. Craig Halden, Rural Financial Counsellor will then unlock the skills and knowledge to avoid financial snares that many young people fall into and help you to understand your cashflows to create a workable budget.

  • An online webinar on Business Finances with Craig Halden, Rural Financial Counsellor will build your knowledge further by learning how to commence your own business, understanding the different finance options available and what information is required when approaching banks to streamline the process.
