Christmas with the Con, hosted by the Riverina Conservatorium of Music, is a free community event that will light up Wagga Wagga’s Riverside Precinct on Saturday, 13 December 2025 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

This spectacular evening will feature more than 220 performers, including the Riverina Conservatorium Orchestra, Simmons Street Big Band, Combined Concert Bands, mass choirs, instrumental ensembles, and soloists. Expect a mix of classical, traditional, and contemporary Christmas music, culminating in a specially orchestrated Christmas Medley as the grand finale.

To make the night even more magical, there will be a fireworks display over the Murrumbidgee River following the concert. Two large screens will livestream the performance so everyone can enjoy the show.

The event also includes the Light a Light of Home tree lighting ceremony in partnership with Country Hope, supporting local families through this important fundraising initiative.

Food and drink vendors will be available, or you can bring a picnic and enjoy the riverside atmosphere. Please note: due to the fireworks exclusion zone, the river walkway entrance behind St John’s Anglican Church will be closed from 8:30pm to 9:15pm.
