The NSW Government, in conjunction with TAFE NSW, is offering scholarships to residents of NSW to undertake an accredited interpreting course to gain a Statement of Attainment in Interpreting Skills through TAFE NSW.
Successful course graduates will be eligible to become Recognised Practicing Interpreters with the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI).
The NSW Interpreter Scholarship Program will be delivered in connected format by TAFE NSW.
People who speak Afrikaans, Amharic, Bislama, Cook Islands Māori, Creole, Dari, Dinka, Ewe, Fijian, Hazaragi, Kannada, Karen, Karenni, Khmer, Kinyamulenge, Kirundi, Konyanka Maninka [Mandingo], Krio, Kurdish-Kurmanji, Lingala, Mongolian, Ndebele, Shona, Somali, Swahili, Tamil, Telugu, Tetum and Tigrinya are invited to apply.
Applications will be accepted from Sydney Metro residents and residents from Albury and Armidale who speak one of the above key language/s.
