Love working at heights and want to earn while you learn? Elecnor Australia (formerly SecureEnergy) is looking for 100 candidates to complete its Legacy 100 training program, the first program of its kind in Australia. Elecnor for Transgrid is building the 700km NSW section of EnergyConnect from Wagga Wagga to the South Australian border.
Elecnor for Transgrid have launched a Legacy 100 program to attract up to 100 candidates to work on Transmission Line Construction as part of the $1.8 billion EnergyConnect project. This is the first time in this country an initiative like this has been launched and we are proud to be developing the skills and capabilities required for the Australian energy sector. The program will consist of classroom, online and on the job training to help participants achieve their Certificate II in Transmission Line Construction.
Legacy 100 will form the backbone of the future workforce in the transmission tower construction industry, with workers to use the skills gained on EnergyConnect to build other future transmission line projects.
To register your expression of interest please email your cover letter and resume to legacy100@elecnor.es If you have any questions or would like any information, please contact legacy100@elecnor.es
Are there any special requirements?
This program ideally suits someone who is fit, not scared of heights, willing to learn and prepared to live away from home for 21 days in a worker accommodation camp.
All applicants require a white card and be capable and competent to work at heights. The towers under construction range in height from 55 to 65 metres.
Applicants would need to be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of commencing the programme as Safework NSW has minimum age limits on some high-risk work licences.
Completing a pre-employment medical with alcohol and drug testing is mandatory. Alcohol and random drug testing will be part of the daily routine.
