The Strengthening Rural Communities (SRC) - Small & Vital grant is designed to support local projects that make a real difference, whether it’s improving community spaces, running workshops, supporting volunteers, or helping people get online and build digital skills.

There are two levels of funding:

  • Up to $10,000 for small, community-led projects

  • Up to $50,000 for initiatives that boost digital inclusion and connectivity

What Can Be Funded?

The grant supports a wide range of community-led projects that:

  • Build community resilience and wellbeing

  • Support lifelong learning and education

  • Encourage cultural vibrancy

  • Improve access to services and technology

  • Strengthen local economies and the environment

To apply, your organisation needs to be a registered not-for-profit with an ABN or Incorporation Certificate, and your project must benefit a rural, regional, or remote community.
