Creative Australia has announced the Creative Futures Fund 2025, a transformative funding opportunity designed to support ambitious, large-scale creative projects that reflect and celebrate Australian identity, culture, and innovation.
This initiative is part of the Australian Government’s Revive: National Cultural Policy, which aims to strengthen the arts and culture sector by investing in projects that are bold, collaborative, and capable of reaching new and diverse audiences.
Who is it for?
The fund is open to Australian organisations across the creative industries, including:
Not-for-profit organisations
Commercial creative enterprises
Local governments
Universities and research institutions
Consortia and partnerships
Whether you’re developing a new performance, exhibition, digital experience, or cross-disciplinary work, this fund is designed to help bring visionary ideas to life.
Funding Streams:
There are two distinct streams available:
Development Investment
Grants between $150,000 and $250,000
Support the early stages of project development, including concept creation, prototyping, and testing
Delivery Investment
Grants between $250,000 and $1.5 million
Supports the full delivery of projects to audiences, including production, presentation, and distribution
What makes a strong application?
Projects should:
Be ambitious, original, and culturally significant
Use Australian-owned intellectual property
Demonstrate audience engagement and reach
Include plans for partnership and co-investment
Align with the goals of the Revive cultural policy

Applications close: Tuesday 11 November 2025 at 3pm AEDT
Stage 2 (by invitation): Opens February 2026
Successful projects commence: July 2026
