Future Drought Fund public consultation sessions coming to your region

On 26 October 2023, the Australian Government announced $17.7 million from the Future Drought Fund (FDF) will be used to progress essential activities in line with key recommendations from the recent Productivity Commission Inquiry into the effectiveness of the FDF. A full response to the Inquiry Report will be informed by public consultation.

On 20 October 2023, government commenced public consultation to help inform the next phase of Future Drought Fund investments. To support consultation, an updated Draft Investment Strategy has been released which sets out Government’s interim response to the Productivity Commission’s recommendations and proposed options for implementation.Stakeholders are invited to provide their feedback on these options.
