2025 National Awards for Local Government
Nominations are now open for the 2025 National Awards for Local Government, celebrating locally led innovation. Now in their 39th year, these awards honor local councils across 13 categories.
New Categories for 2025:
Affordable Housing: Recognising leaders and projects addressing housing need from policy, planning, social, or infrastructure perspectives.
Outstanding Rural and Remote Council: Honoring achievements of smaller, more remote or rural councils.
Key Details:
Nominations Open: Until 17th of March 2025
Voting Period: 18th of March to the 18th of April
Eligibility: All elected local government organisations and associations, and other recognised organisations providing direct services to Australian communities
