Funding Available to Boost Heavy Vehicle Safety on Australia’s Roads

The Australian Government and the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) have announced $4.4 million in grants will be dedicated to the industry led projects aimed at improving road safety for the heavy vehicle industry. The funding is available through round 11 of the Heavy Vehicle Safety Initiative (HVSI), with the aim of supporting projects that improve compliance and deliver safety benefits for the transport and logistic sector.

Central to the funding will be projects that harness new and emerging technologies to build capability and knowledge across the sector, delivering long term benefits for Australia’s freight and logistics network.
