Make a night of it on Fitzmaurice Street

Fitzmaurice Street is doing more after 5pm this November.

STREET x STREET is a new evening series bringing Wagga Wagga's businesses, venues and public spaces together to give locals more reasons to head into town.

The first edition runs from Sunday 1 to Saturday 7 November, with participating businesses opening later, offering specials and hosting everything from live music to one-off activities.

The week culminates on Saturday 7 November, when Fitzmaurice Street will be closed to traffic for live performances, activities and extended trading.

There's no need to plan the whole evening. Book dinner, meet a mate, stop in for a look or head somewhere you've never been before.

Temporary road closures – Fitzmaurice Street, Saturday 7 November

Fitzmaurice Street will be temporarily closed to vehicles on Saturday 7 November to accommodate STREET x STREET.

The closure will affect from the Wollundry Bridge to Crampton Street between 4.30pm and 10.30pm.

During this period, detours will be in place via Crampton Street, Trail Street, Tarcutta Street, Morrow Street and Ivan Jack Drive. Event-goers are encouraged to use council car parks and on-street parking in surrounding streets.

A temporary bus stop will be available on Trail Street for the duration of the road closure.

Pedestrians will be able to access Fitzmaurice Street as usual.
