NSW Government's Holiday Break Spring and/or Summer 2026-27


Applications are now open for the NSW Government’s Spring and/or Summer 2026-27 Holiday Break Program, with funding available to support the delivery of free school holiday activities for young people aged 12-24 years. Applications close at 4:00pm on Wednesday, 22 July 2026.

The Holiday Break Program provides funding for activities that help young people connect with their communities, build new skills, explore their interests, and participate in engaging and inclusive experiences during the school holidays.

Funded activities may include:

  • Sport and recreation programs

  • Arts and cultural activities

  • Creative workshops

  • Wellbeing and life skills programs

  • Community events and social activities

  • Other innovative opportunities for young people to learn, connect and have fun

Eligible organisations include:

  • Local Councils

  • Regional Organisations of Councils (ROCs)

  • Local Aboriginal Land Councils

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations

  • ANCN-registered charities and not-for-profit organisations

  • Incorporated associations registered with NSW Fair Trading

  • Community organisations and volunteer groups that meet the eligibility requirements.

For many organisations in our region, this means groups such as:

  • Youth organisations

  • Community centres and neighbourhood houses

  • Sporting clubs and sporting associations

  • Arts and cultural groups

  • Men’s Shed’s and community groups

  • Multicultural organisations

  • Disability support organisations

  • Aboriginal organisations

  • Volunteer-run community organisations

  • Councils and council committees

Additional funding may also be available for eligible projects delivered in rural and remote areas of NSW.
