Clean Technology Innovation Grant


NSW Businesses, innovators and research organisations developing low-emissions technologies can now apply for the Clean Technology Innovation Grant, a NSW Government initiative designed to help commercialise innovative clean technology solutions. The program supports projects that have already demonstrated a proof of concept and are ready to be piloted, tested and brought closer to the market.

The grant aims to accelerate the development of scalable and cost-effective technologies that can help reduce emissions while strengthening NSW’s clean technology sector and supporting the state’s transition to net zero.

Key information:

  • Applications close: 8 September 2026 at 12:00pm AEST

  • Funding available: $500,000 to $5 million to cover up to 50% of eligible project costs

  • Total funding amount: up to $25 million

Who can apply:

  • Small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs)

  • Technology developers

  • Innovators

  • Start-ups

  • Research organisations

  • Academia with a spin-out company

Projects that can be funded:

  • Technology development

  • Construction of specific testing infrastructure

  • Prototyping

  • Product verification

  • Demonstration and deployment

  • Front end engineering design (FEED)

  • Technical feasibility studies
