Have Your Say on the South West Renewable Engery Zone Community and Employment Benefit Program
Communities across the South West Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) are being invited to help shape the new Community and Employment Benefit Program, with consultation now open. The program aims to invest in projects and initiatives that create lasting benefits for communities hosting renewable energy and transmission infrastructure.
The NSW Government has announced an initial investment of $60 million to support communities within the South West REZ, helping to deliver new opportunities, local jobs and long-term regional benefits. EnergyCo is seeking feedback from community members, local councils and First Nations groups on how the program should be designed and delivered.
