Economic Development Australia (EDA) is holding The Events Economy, a one-day virtual training module designed to explore the role events play in driving economic growth, community development and destination appeal.
Facilitated by Giovanna Lever, economic and community development specialist with more than 20 years experience across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. The session will provide participants with valuable insights into how events can contribute to stronger, more resilient local economies.
The module is aimed at professionals involved in economic development, tourism, events, local government and community development, offering practical knowledge and strategies that can be applied within regional, rural and metropolitan communities.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from Giovanna's extensive experience in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, tourism and economic development, while exploring the broader economic, social and community impacts that well-designed events can deliver.
