Annual Grants Program: Neighbourhood and Rural Villages

Wagga Wagga City Council’s Annual Grants Program: Neighbourhood and Rural Villages category is now open for applications. This funding stream is designed to activate community spaces, strengthen neighbourhood connections, and celebrate Wiradjuri and First Nations culture.

Key Information:

  • Funding amount: Minimum $1,000 | Maximum $7,500

  • Applications open: 23 February 2026, 9:00am

  • Applications close: 4 May 2026, 11:59pm

Eligibility & Project Requirements:

To be considered, projects must meet at least two of the following criteria:

  • Increase community connection in neighbourhoods, rural villages, community centres and halls

  • Increase community provide in local Wiradjuri and First Nations culture and heritage

  • Provide opportunities for connection through recreational activity, arts and leisure in community centres, halls and public spaces

  • Demonstrate evidence of in-kind support by the applicant

  • Applications are encouraged to provide letters of support from the communities/villages your program or project will benefit, as support of your application
