The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has released Frequently Asked Questions for the 2020 Snow Season.
Due to Covid-19 guidelines there are some changes this snow season to manage numbers and ensure the safety of communities and visitors, in line with the COVID Safe Operating Plan developed by the ski resorts and supported by the National Parks and Wildlife Service.

'Homebuilder' program to drive economic activity across the residential construction sector
The Australian Government has announced a new HomeBuilder program aimed at supporting jobs in the residential construction sector.
From today until 31 December 2020, HomeBuilder will provide all eligible owner-occupiers (not just first home buyers) with a grant of $25,000 to build a new home or substantially renovate an existing home. Construction must be contracted to commence within three months of the contract date.

Removal of iconic Sugar Pine Walk to begin following bushfire impact
Following the devastation of the 2019-20 bushfire season, work will soon begin to remove the iconic Sugar Pine Walk in Bago State Forest.
Sadly, the forest was heavily burnt in the bushfires and the Sugar Pine Walk trees cannot be saved, said Forestry Corporation of NSW Snowy Region Manager, Dean Anderson.

First Regional NSW COVID-19 Respiratory Clinic opens in Wagga Wagga
The first rural GP-led COVID-19 respiratory clinic in New South Wales officially opened 15th April at Wagga Wagga’s Glenrock Country Practice.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development and Federal Member for Riverina Michael McCormack said the new respiratory clinic, assembled at Dr Ayman Shenouda’s practice, was part of the Australian Government’s $2.4 billion health package to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak.
